Code of Business Principles


1. The ‘Code of Business Principles’ of Jocil Limited (Jocil) describes the operational standards that provide the Company’s approach to corporate governance and responsibility. Jocil has earned a reputation for conducting its business with fairness and respect for all those who are affected by its activities. Everyone at Jocil is required to observe its ‘Code of Business Principles’.


2.The operations at Jocil are conducted with honesty, integrity and openness and with respect for the human rights and interests of the employees and those with whom the Company has relationships. The employees are required to comply with the laws and regulations applicable to the company.


3.Employment and promotion of employees is on the sole basis of the qualifications and abilities needed for the work to be performed. All the employees will be provided safe and healthy working conditions. Jocil will not use any form of forced, compulsory or child labour. Employees are encouraged to develop and enhance their skills and capabilities. Jocil will maintain good communications with employees through proper information channel.


4.Jocil is committed to provide good products and services which consistently offer value in terms of price and quality to the customers for their intended use. Products and services provided by Jocil will be appropriately labelled and communicated.

5.Jocil will conduct its operations in accordance with the accepted principles of good corporate governance. The shareholders will be provided all the information on the activities of the Company as per the rules and regulations.


6.Jocil is committed to having mutually beneficial relations with its suppliers, customers and business partners. Jocil expects its business partners to adhere to business principles consistent with its policy.


7.Jocil strives to be a respected corporate citizen and has a Corporate Social Responsibility Policy to fulfil its responsibility to the society and communities in which it operates.


8.Jocil is committed to keep its operations environment friendly and develop sustainable business operations. It promotes environmental care, develops understanding of environmental issues and promotes good practices.


9.All employees are expected to avoid personal activities and financial interests which could be in conflict with their responsibilities to the company. Employees are not expected to seek gain for themselves or others by misuse of their position in the company.


10.The Management of Jocil expects employees to bring to its attention or to that of senior management any breach of these principles and no employee will suffer as a consequence of doing so.
